Cultivator - Advanced set (KIT)

In this manual we will look at the installation of the cultivator in the advance set (kit variant). It will take you about an hour to assemble the entire cultivator and you will understand its design.

You will need the usual tools you will find in your workshop. In particular you will use:

  • Allen key set
  • M3 wrench (Size 5,5)
  • Tweezers or small nose pliers

    General

Here is the entire video with the complete assembly of the cultivator.

Unless otherwise stated, the screws are lightly tightened. In most cases, these are M2 bolts and can be pulled off easily. Other package specifications, which may vary depending on the option chosen, are marked (...)

    Coulters assembly

    Packages
     COULTER: Cultivator - Coulter(Holder - ...) [1/2]
    COULTER: Cultvator - Coulter(...) [2/2]

    1. Using two M2x8 bolts and two M3 nuts, secure the coulter between the two holders. The coulter can be attached to the holder in three positions, i.e. in the holes except the outermost one.
    2. Repeat the procedure for all coulters.
    3. The top hole at the holder is used to attach the lever. Connect the lever to the holder with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut. Repeat the procedure for all coulters.

Attaching the coulters to the main frame

     Package
    MAIN FRAME: Cultivator [1/1]
    1. The coulters are attached to the main frame in two places. First, add the lever to the frame with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut. Then push the M2x8 bolt through the holder, through the bottom mount on the frame and the other holder. Secure with the bolt and M2 nut.
    2. Repeat the procedure for all coulters.

Tip 1: Move from the middle coulter towards the edges.

Tip 2: If your cultivator has a rear frame, it is easier to add it after adding three center coulters.

    Three-point linkage

    Package
     THREE POINT LINKAGE: TPL(Triangle) [1/1]
    1. Screw M3x8 screws into the side holes
    2. Screw M3x16 screws into the selected holes on the TPL legs from the inside
    3. Attach the TPL to the main frame with M3x10 screws. Use the lower edge holes and the upper hole on the TPL.

    Rear frame assembly

    Packages
REAR FRAME: Cultivator - Rear frame(...) [1/2]
REAR FRAME: Cultivator - Rear frame(...) [2/2]
    1. Attach the front coupling (the longer of the two couplings) to the bottom beam with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    2. Attach the control lever to the lower beam on both sides with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    3. Attach the rear coupling (shorter of the two couplings) to the lower beam with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    4. Insert the upper beam from above between the couplings and levers.
    5. Connect the rear hole to the rear coupling with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    6. Connect the control arm through the second hole and the middle hole of the three in the beam with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    7. Attach the beam couplers on both sides of the upper beam with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    8. Repeat the procedure for the second part of the rear frame

Mounting the rear frame to the main frame

    1. Attach the rear frame to the main frame braces using the M2x8 bolt and M2 nut through the beam couplers.
    2. Through the mounts on the main frame, bolt the upper beam with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut.
    3. Insert the lower main frame mount into the gap between the front couplings of the lower beam and bolt together with an M2x8 bolt and M2 nut
    4. Repeat the procedure for the second rear frame

Tip: For easier assembly, remove the levers at the outer front coulters and fold the coulters down. After mounting the rear frame, put them back in place

    Disc coulters

    Package
DISC COULTER: Cultivator - Disc coulter(...) [2/2]
    1. Push the M3x8 screw through the disc
    2. Insert the M3 washer
    3. Push the screw through the hole in the holder
    4. Insert the M3 washer
    5. Screw on the self-locking nut M3 so that the disc can be rotated freely
    6. Repeat the procedure for all other discs.

Mounting of disc coulters on the beam

    Package
DISC COULTER: Cultivator - Disc coulter(...) [1/2]
    1. Insert the disc holder between the mounts on the beam.
    2. Screw the holder with two M2x8 screws and two M2 nuts
    3. Repeat the procedure for the remaining holders

Mounting the beam with disc coulters

    1. Insert the remaining mounts on the beam into the lower beams of the rear frame.
    2. Screw everything together using two M2x8 bolts and two M2 nuts on both sides.

    Assembling the roller

    Packages
ROLLER: Cultivator - Cage roller(...) [1/3]
